ABOUT ARUN YOGIRAJ

Arun Yogiraj comes from a family of five generations of famous sculptors in Mysore. His father, Yogiraj, is also a skilled sculptor, and his grandfather, Basavanna Shilpi, was patronized by the King of Mysore. Arun has been involved in carving since childhood and pursued sculpting despite briefly working in a private company after completing his MBA in 2008. Since then, he has continued his carving career and is now recognized as one of the most sought-after sculptors in the country.

Yogiraj stated that he worked for a few years in a private company while pursuing an MBA. But his natural love of sculpting pulled him back.
Yogiraj’s father reportedly supported him, despite the fact that his mother disapproved of his choice. “My mother was persuaded when I was awarded the Young Talent Award in South India in 2014,” he said. Yogiraj has previously been recognized for his contributions.

Arun’s 30-foot-tall statue of Subhash Chandra Bose, which is the highlight of the grand covering in front of the Amar Jawan Jyoti behind the India Gate, is the main attraction.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was interested in placing a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at India Gate in honor of his contribution to the freedom struggle ahead of the 125th anniversary of his birth. Arun Yogiraj also supported this idea. In addition, he won the Prime Minister’s gratitude by giving him a two-foot-tall statue of Subhash Chandra Bose.

In Kedarnath, Arun Yogiraj had previously sculpted a twelve-foot-tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya. Under the guidance of Arun Yogiraj, numerous idols developed, including the 21-foot-tall Hanuman statue at Chunchanakatte in the Mysore district, the 15-foot-tall

Statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar, the white Amritashila statue of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in Mysore, the six-foot-tall monolithic statue of Nandi, the six-foot-tall statue of Banashankari Devi, the 14.5-foot-tall white AmritaShila statue of the King of Mysore, Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, and numerous other idols have blossomed. Numerous groups have already given Arun recognition. The Mysore royal family also showed their appreciation for his contribution.

Beginning one week prior to the main ceremony on January 16, Ayodhya will host Vedic rituals for Ram Lalla’s “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony.

In addition, PM Modi asked everyone to celebrate the day of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram temple as ‘Deepawali’ by lighting special diyas in their homes on January 22. In order to save trouble, he also asked them not to travel to Ayodhya on the day of the ceremony.
